2013 Results

Well done and thank you to all Athletes, Officials, Supporters, Marshals, Set-Up crew, Catering, Midlothian Council,Sponsors etc etc etc.

A lovely sunny day and some great backdrops made for outstanding spectating conditions, although it was probably a bit windier than the athletes would have liked!

Many were thankful that the railway and steep hill did not feature in the new laps but the organisers hope that didn't make it too easy?

Anyway, you'll be interested in the results, see them below (I think some results for the teams (vets maybe) were a wee bit late, if you didn't get your presentation drop me an email with your address and we'll get them posted out):
One person complained of difficulty viewing a scribd document in their browser (and I did notice issues with Windows 8)so I include a link here if that's the case.

Getting Ready

Preparations are well under way for this years challenge. There are a few changes to the course this year so make sure you check out the maps on the day! Some may be pleased to hear that the railway section is out of bounds and it should be good for parents of younger runners as the short races are visible all the way! If you are part of Lasswade AC or just live locally why not come along and help with some "cutting back" on Sunday 20th October. We're meeting at 10am here

A reprieve for 2013

Make sure you get November the 3rd in your diary for this year's Lasswade Cross Country at Sunny Gorebridge by the bing. It is likely that this will be the last running of the races at this testing location..... A combination of work to reintroduce the Borders Railway and the sale of Newbyers field to Persimmon Homes means that we will be looking at new options for 2014. We are really thankful to all the organisations and individuals who have contributed over the years to make this annual event such a success. Make sure you get there this time to celebrate what is likely to be our last year at this superb spot! PS That's just a gratuitous pic of a Pentlands sunset!!
